I Heart Twitter
I really like twitter. The info is short and to the point. Just give me the important details. I don’t need a lot of fluff and fancy words. 140 characters is plenty. And twitter is the only platform that I have found where I can have a conversation with a cattle guy in Texas about his cow trouble, then talk to a farmer in Nebraska about hydralic hoses and whiskey (had to be there), then debate the merits of a leadership review article with a farmer in Arizona. That is a small sample of the interactions. I did get a hate tweet about an article I linked to. The guy said “What a load full of manure, the stench is gagging me” but later he apologized. So I really haven’t had any bad experiences while using twitter. Sure there are people that I disagree with and you have to be skeptical with any information that is put out there. But the majority of the users I follow are good hearted folks. If not I just unfollow them. If you haven’t used twitter yet, I encourage you to create a profile and give it a go. You can put as much or as little time into it as you like. Just remember abbreviation is the key. You’ll catch on quick.
The following is some of the tweets that were posted in my timeline today. Leave your twitter name in the comments. So the readers and I can follow U.
